How to differentiate code in Blogger dynamic view?

Date: 08 Jun 2014   Posted By: Mobile Boy     Group: Blogging and Websites    Category: Blogger Blogging Platform

I maintain a blog to post Linux troubleshooting topics. In each post I mention atleast one command. I need to differentiate this command from normal text. In Blogger simple template, almost all HTML tags work. I am using dynamic view to concentrate only on post rather than page presentation. I tried using code tag, pre tag but both didn't work. Is there any other way to show code?

The best way to highlight certain codes that you frequently use is to employ blockquotes.
You will find a 'inverted comma' looking icon in the post editor on the left.Select the text you want to highlight and press this icon. This will automatically warp the selected text in blockquotes which will enable the users to differentiate normal text from the highlighted ones
