Samsung Galaxy ACE comes with Android Gingerbread which gives it better performance but it was long ago. Nower, days app comes with higher android support due to which many Android apps are unable to work on Galaxy Ace. You can get updated your phone by Customer Center or Do it yourself through the Process of Rooting.
Benefits and Disadvantages of Rooting your Android phone
    1. You get the master and delete the default apps which you don't like.
    2. You can install Custom ROM's in your phone to improve its performance. Many ROM's are specilized in their own arena like XGamerz is best ROM for Gaming.
    3. After Rooting you phones warranty vanishes and it can also brick your motherboard.

To update your Phone after rooting you can just boot Custom ROM through Pressing Volume UP + Menu Button + Power Button after that select the ROM in your SD Card and Click on the ROM through pressing Power Button. It can take some time but after it completes it will be best day of you life.

I am currently pursuing High School and planning to pursue career in Computer. Currently, I work on one of my blog - JTech Articles.
