Wireless network LAN card not working on one of the connected PCs how to resolve the issue?

Are you facing Wireless network LAN card connectivity problems? Just follow this thread and find solutions.

I am using wireless LAN cards in all of my office Desktop PCs and joined the PCs to the Wireless Access Points. One of the PCs is automatically disconnecting from the network. I checked and found that the same wireless LAN card is working perfectly with other PC. But, it is sometimes automatically disconnecting from network and the user is facing network connectivity issue. What could be the reason for this issue, as the system is working perfectly for all other installed applications.

I don't know what OS or Wifi LAN cards your desktops are using, but a couple of years ago I had a similar problem with my Thinkpad laptop running Windows XP Professional. This had something to do with the device powering off the LAN device to save power.

I have a hunch that this could be something to do with your systems power management profile which shuts down certain devices in the computer to save power.

If this is the case, you can try to check the settings for your Wifi adapter. To do this you can..

    - Open Control Panel
    - Double click Network Connections
    - Right Click the Wireless Network Connection Icon and Click on Properties
    - In the General Tab, you will notice the 'Connect using' section where the Wifi adapter your system uses is listed. click the Configure button to launch the properties dialog for your wifi adapter.
    - Click the advanced tab and here make sure that the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" and "Allow this device to wake the computer" checkboxes are unchecked.
    - Click Ok and reboot your system if asked to do so.

If this doesn't work, you may need to re-install/update the drivers for your Wifi network adapter.
