Let us look at the specifications of the two smartphones Micromax A100 Canvas 2 and Micromax A110Q Canvas 2 Plus with regard to their difference. I have ignored the specifications of the two smartphones that are similar.
Micromax Canvas 2 Plus is lighter with a weight of 164 g as against the weight of 168 g of Micromax Canvas 2.
Internal memory and RAM
The second main difference between the two smartphones is with regard to their internal memory and RAM. Though both the phones has an internal memory of 4 GB, but the user available memory in Canvas 2 Plus is 1.5 GB as compared to the 2 GB user available memory in Canvas 2. The RAM of Canvas 2 Plus is 1 GB whereas it is only 512 MB in Canvas 2.
Micromax Canvas 2 Plus has Bluetooth 4.0 whereas Canvas 2 has Bluetooth 3.0.
The secondary camera of Canvas 2 Plus is of 2 MP resolution, whereas it is a VGA secondary camera in Canvas 2.
Micromax Canvas 2 Plus runs on the Google's latest Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. On the other hand, Canvas 2 runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which is upgradable to Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean).
The chipset used in Canvas 2 Plus is Media Tek MT6589M as compared to the Media Tek MT6577 used in Canvas 2.
Micromax Canvas 2 Plus is powered by 1.2 GHz quad core processor as compared to 1.0 GHz dual core processor of Canvas 2. So, there is a very big difference in the power of the two smartphones.
Talk time and Stand-by time
Though both the smartphones make use of the same Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery, the talk-time in Canvas 2 Plus is up to 6 hours as compared to talk time of up to 5 hours in Canvas 2. Similarly, the stand-by time in Canvas Plus 2 is up to 280 hours as compared to the stand-by time of up to 180 hours in Canvas 2.
