What is the reason for water leakage from Whirlpool washing machine?

Are you facing or have ever faced a water leakage problem from the drum of Whirlpool washing machine? Do you want to know the exact cause of such a leakage? Follow this thread and read expert answers to know about the water leakage problem from the drum of a washing machine.

I have a washing machine of whirlpool brand and it was purchased way back in the year 2006. Whenever I collect water in wash compartment for soaking clothes, it leaks in small amount beneath the machine.

I called the technician and he told us that the motor is damaged and it needs to be replaced.

I want to know the exact reason behind this leakage because I feel that the technician has no experience of such error.

You can try to clean the pipe and L shape knob near the motor and under the washing machine and it happens due to over putting of Washing powder. Over throwing washing powder while washing clothes can create thick surf which finally stays under the drainage pipe and block the locking knob/thread which eventually release the water before wash or soak. Try to identify it and you can solve the issue instantly by cleaning unnecessary thick surf near the drainage pipe and motor location.

Yes you are right and the technician is just telling to put you in trouble with big expenses for this work. You can show the expert technicians of the Washing machine and do not spend more than Rs 200 max for this issue.
